How to power on 70mai 1S？

Press the Power button;
If the device is connected to the cigarette lighter, when the car is started and the cigarette lighter is power-on, the device automatically turns on;

How to power off 70mai 1S？

Dash Cam supports the following three ways to power off:

Press and hold the Power button.
Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds to force shutdown the Dash Cam.
If the device is connected to the cigarette lighter, when the car is stopped and the cigarette lighter is power-off, the device automatically turns off.

Why 70mai 1S Dash Cam will automatically shut down？

No external power supply and the built-in battery is low;
No external power supply and the ambient temperature exceeds the discharge temperature range of the built-in battery;
The device runs in the high temperature that exceeds the operating temperature.

* Some cars still supply power to the cigarette lighters after they are stopped. For the precautions for turning on/off the device in this case, see the section “Power Usage”.

Do I need to manually turn on/off the 70mai 1S Dash Cam in my car?

If the Dash Cam is connected to the cigarette lighter, there is no need to manually turn on/off it. Every time the car is started (i.e. the cigarette lighter port is power-on), the device will automatically turn on. When the car is stopped (i.e. the cigarette lighter port is power-off), the device will automatically turn off.

In some cars, the cigarette lighters will continue to be power-on after the cars are stopped. For such a car, you need to manually turn off the device, and manually turn it on when the car is started the next time.

Can the 70mai 1S Dash Cam be used without external power supply?

The device has a built-in battery, but it is only used to supply power for final video storage when the device is turned off. It is not recommended to use the device without an external power supply.

When the device screen prompts “Low battery; please connect the charging cable”, please plug in the charging cable.

Do you need to manually turn on 70mai 1S recording?

When the dash cam turns on, if inserted with one usable microSD card, it will automatically start recording and no manual operation needed.

Note: When the dash cam is turned on the first time or when it is restored to factory settings, it needs to be activated by connecting to the 70mai app. After that, it can be used normally.

Can I pause 70mai 1S recording?

The dash cam is a road safety record tool and it will as much as possibly record driving videos in order to maximize the protection of the rights of car owners. Therefore, dash cam does not support manually pause recording.

Under what circumstances will the 70mai 1S stop recording?

The dash cam will automatically stop recording in the following situations:

When you enter the album on the 70mai app.
When you modify parameters related to recording, such as system time;
When you format the microSD card in the dash cam;
When your microSD card is below Class 10 and the writing speed decreases in recording, the recording will pause (In this case, replace with a higher-level microSD card);
When your microSD card has increasing fragments and decreasing writing speed after being used in the dash cam or in other devices for a period of time, the recording will pause (In this case, please format the microSD card in the dash cam before usage);
When you restore factory settings;
When you use the 70mai app to push the firmware upgrade package to the dash cam;
When dash cam is updating.

How to check whether the 70mai 1S dash cam is in normal recording?

Please check the indicator status of the dash cam. If the indicator is solid green, the dash cam is recording normally.

What types of videos the 70mai 1S dash cam record?

Dash cam records the following video types:

Can I record videos with sound?

The device records soundlessly by default. If you would like to record videos with sound, please go to the 70mai App on your phone then enter the dash cam plug-in page. Click “Device settings” to enter the settings page and then enable the audio recording.

Can I change the video length?

By default, the normal video length is 1 minute. But if you would like to record a longer video, you can do the followings:

(1) Go to the 70mai App on your phone then enter the dash cam plug-in page.

(2) Click “Device settings” to enter the settings page. Select the video length then select the length you need.

Note: The emergency video length and parking surveillance video length couldn’t be set manually.

How to take photos on 70mai 1S？

Voice command: Directly say “Take picture” to the device;
Via App (after connecting to 70mai app): Click the “Take picture” button in the preview screen;

Storage path: SD card – Photo folder;
Storage form: A fixed amount of 300 photos, using loop recording mechanism.

What kind of voice command does the 70mai 1S support?

The device supports the following voice commands:

Take picture: Quickly capture a photo.
Record video: Start recording a 30s-long emergency video.

In which cases the voice control function is not supported?

In the following cases, the device does not support voice control:

The device is connected to a mobile phone;
Setup wizard stage;
The SD card is being formatted;
The device is being reset to factory default;
The device is being updated;
Any operation within the device album is being performed, either on the device or the phone app.

How to avoid 70mai 1S battery damage？

70mai 1S uses the car cigarette lighter as the power supply. To ensure a stable power supply, please use the original car charger and power cable. 70mai assume no responsibility for any loss caused by the use of other power sources other than car cigarette lighters, non-original chargers or power cables.

Some cars still supply power to cigarette lighters after they are stopped. In order to avoid battery loss caused by the device’s working for a long time, please manually turn off the device or unplug the device charger after the car is stopped. If the device is manually turned off, when the car is started the next time, the device needs to be manually turned on.

For a car which still supplies power to the cigarette lighter after it is stopped, if the car will be parked for a long time, it is also recommended to unplug the device charger to avoid battery loss.

The built-in battery of your device is only used for saving the last video file when the external power source is cut off. Do not use the device without the external power source.

Avoid to use the 70mai 1S in an extremely high temperature as this may damage the battery of the device. If your car still supply power to the cigarette lighter after it is stopped, when it is parked in an area that exposes it to direct sun rays in summer, please plug out the power cable of the device to turn the device off.

Do not disassembly the built-in battery by yourself.

In case of any high temperature, deformation, expansion or liquid leakage of the battery, please stop using it immediately and contact the after-sales service center.
